JESUS HURTADO

Jesus was born in San Diego, California, and is now based in Los Angeles, CA. He started a career in theater design early in high school and worked at local theaters around San Diego to gain new experiences unavailable locally.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from the University of Southern California with a focus on scenic and projection design for theater, Jesus was a 2025 Projection Design Fellow with Black Theater Coalition, and has worked with La Jolla Playhouse, Lyceum Theater, the Old Globe Theater, Rosenthal Theatre, The Broadwater, Center Theatre Group, and The Public Theatre.
