GUSTAVO HERRARA

CEO of Arts for LA, Gustave has served since 2018 to build a thriving and equitable arts, culture, and entertainment ecosystem in Los Angeles County through advocacy, direct services, connecting communities, and building power.

In the arts and youth arena, Gustavo has overseen operations and provided strategic and development leadership as Western Regional Director of the Young Invincibles (YI), COO of L.A. Plaza de Cultura y Artes, and Director of Organizational Development for the Maestro Foundation. Previously in the commericial sector, he assessed and recommended business growth strategies in the US marketplace for the global Fortune 500 Company American Honda Motors.

Gustavo holds an MBA from American Jewish University, and a dual BA in Global Studies with an emphasis in socio-politics, economics, and Art History from UC Santa Barbara.

From 2006-2010, he served on the Board of Directors of the Create: Fixate Arts Organization, and currently sits on the Advisory Boards of California Community Colleges, and the California Physician’s Alliance, and as a Founding Board Member of Silverlake Forward.
