Tom is a stage, film, television, and voiceover actor whose passion for acting was fostered by the high school drama teacher in Chicago who introduced him to the great classical and modern playwrights.
​
He has appeared at Shakespeare Festivals in Idaho Florida, Utah, Wisconsin, Connecticut and Illinois with favorite roles including Orlando in “As You Like It", Hotspur in “Henry IV: Part One”, Octavius Caesar in “Antony & Cleopatra” and Mercutio in “Romeo & Juliet”.

While performing in Chicago at The Goodman, with Chicago Shakespeare, Steppenwolf, and the Writers’ Theatre,Tom appeared in television episodes of “Early Edition” and “Chicago Hope”, as well as in independent feature films. After moving to Los Angeles he played Dr. Besson for two seasons on “24”, and enjoyed roles on “The Practice”, “Bernie Mac”, “The District”, “Medium”, “Without a Trace”, “Judging Amy”, “JAG”, “Law&Order: LA”, and “Saving Grace”. His has received glowing reviews for his stage performances at San Jose Repertory, East/West Players in L.A., and at Atlanta’s premiere theatre The Alliance, and as a voiceover actor has won the Earphone Award.

Tom joined The Young Shakespeareans in Summer 2023 to assist in the launch of "Shakespearean Sports". He holds a BFA in Theatre from the University of Illinois, has studied Shakespeare with the British American Drama Academy, Brecht with the Berliner Ensemble, and Chekhov with the Moscow Art Theatre.
