The Young Shakespeareans
PATRICIA (Trish) DOKTOR Development Director
Patricia is an award‐winning graphic designer and illustrator who creates branding and visuals for animated film, cartoons, theme parks, theatrical events, and charitable organizations. She created and implemented the “Hands On” Art Project funded through the Gene Autry Foundation which included the participation of almost 1,000 K-5 students, and also founded a private studio to teach K-5 children that art was about more than making pretty pictures and staying within the lines. She also conquered a life-long fear of performing on stage when she joined the Los Angeles Assistance League’s Nine O’Clock Players. Having attended Title 1 Public Schools herself, she is thrilled to bring Shakespeare to underserved communities in South Los Angeles. While Trish’s focus is on fundraising to support the Program’s broader reach and goals, she has been instrumental in establishing the organization, documenting the Program's curriculum, and when time permits, especially enjoys coaching the students one-on-one to foster their comprehension, confidence, and courage. She holds a BFA from Art Center College of Design and is certified in the UCLA Social Emotional Arts (SEA) Program.
